The ongoing project “Land and Ocean Grabbing” by Luca Catalano Gonzaga, supported by Nando ed Elsa Peretti Foundation, will be presented within the Festival Fotografico Europeo during the month of May/Julyat the Visconteo Castle (Legnano, Milan). Thirty pictures realized in Mauritania and Senegal in 2020, will be exhibiting. These pictures concern in particular the “Ocean Grabbing”, the well-known phenomenon of over-exploitation of seas by foreign companies with consequent detriment of local fishermen and deprivation of their right to use the very primary resource for their livelihood and, additionally, endangering fish stock and the quality of the sea environment along the Western Africa coasts.
